Rebeca Linares was born as Verónica Linares Bazán on June 13, 1983 in San Sebastián, a city in the Basque Country of northern Spain. She spent her early childhood in San Sebastián before moving with her family to Barcelona when she was a young child. Growing up bilingual and immersed in Spanish and Catalan culture helped shape her confidence and adaptability from a young age.
Linares began her career in adult films in 2005 while still in Spain. At that time, the local market was small with limited opportunities, so after gaining initial experience she looked beyond her home country for more work. She chose the stage name “Rebeca” because she felt it was short, memorable, and strong, while she kept her real last name, Linares, as part of her professional identity.

In March 2006, Linares made a pivotal decision to move to Los Angeles, California, a global hub for adult entertainment. She made this shift to be closer to the center of the industry and to be able to work steadily in a competitive environment. Once established in Los Angeles, Linares quickly became a familiar face in adult films, producing a significant body of work. In 2008 she was featured in a photo spread for a mainstream magazine, showing her crossover appeal beyond adult entertainment circles. The following year, she was selected as Pet of the Month by Penthouse magazine, placing her among notable international models recognized by one of the industry’s leading publications.
A Spanish television documentary was also produced in 2009 chronicling her life and career in America, focusing on her everyday experiences, aspirations, and the challenges she faced in a fast‑paced industry. That same year, she gained industry recognition when she was nominated in multiple award categories.
